In my 15 years of existence in this world, I have already lots of experiences. But the most unforgettable and the experience that I can’t erase in my mind happened in Initao Eco-Park and Don Arc White Beach Resort. It all started when my instructor in CWTS decided and told us that we will have an overnight camping. We were all excited about the camping. I was so happy and very excited about the camping because it was another memorable experience for me. And I will meet and mingle to other people. I’m a shy type of person, I don’t like to socialize. And that is my biggest weakness.
August 13, 2011, we arrived in Initao Eco-Park. The trip took 1 hour and 0 minutes. The place is great! You can see the beauty of nature, the horizon, and you can feel the fresh air. There are caves, big trees, big rocks, and cliffs. And my biggest happiness was my crush was there!
We took pictures and cleaned our areas. There were groupings. We were only 6 in our groups. We made a table made of bamboos. At first, I was very uncomfortable because I didn’t know how to be a camper. I didn’t know how to rekindle a fire. But hours passed, I was enjoying. We rested for 2 hours because at exactly 4:00 pm we will enter the 4 caves.
4:00 pm, our instructor called and gathered us. He grouped us by 10 in each group. First, we entered the Open Cave, next the Lisa Cave, then The Don Mariano Cave, and lastly The Bat Cave. I’m not pretty sure the names of the caves. When we entered the first cave I have mixed emotions. I felt like dying, nervous, excited, happy, and I’m worried. I’m worried because of my asthma. But I threw all my worries away because it was amazing. After entering the 4 caves, we fixed ourselves. Prepared our things and cooked.
At exactly 6:00 pm we depart Initao Eco-Park and went to Don Arc White Beach Resort where we will stay that night. The resort is like Bora, the sand is smooth. My group mates swam. They invited me to join them but I refused because I’m tired. They enjoyed swimming while I enjoyed the smoothness of the sand and I prepared and cleaned our cottage. My instructor told us that we will sleep in a cottage.
My classmates arrived in the resort. Our instructor called all the team leaders and told them that we will be having a bonfire and group presentations. Before the presentation, Gen discussed about religious beliefs and my 2 guy classmates talked to her. And the one guy is my crush. So, we talked for few minutes and introduced each other. After that short conversation Mr. IVB and Gen decided to make a tent. So Gen told me that I will help them. After we built the tent the son of our instructor called me. His name is Beboy. We played in the sand and Mr. IVB joined us. We were getting closer and that night we became friend. We talked about family and school.
8:00 pm we started the bonfire. We meditated, danced, sang, and played different games. After the event our instructor told us that we can do all what we wanted. Again, we played. Then we decided to sleep. We slept in the seashore. We were four including IVB. I and IVB can’t sleep so we talked for the whole night. We walked in the seashore. 6 am, we woke up and prepared our breakfast.
After we ate our breakfast, we practiced martial arts, played games, and swam whole day. After that tiring day, we took a bath the prepared our things, cleaned our areas. Then we went home. I hope that I will experience that again soon with another group of people.
